Do you want to learn more about IT? Having good digital skills is essential in today's world for both personal use and the work environment. Our Digital Skills courses are accredited and designed to give you the skills to:
• Access online services, such as booking your GP appointment
• Stay in touch with family and friends, via email or video calls
• Shop and bank online
• Use social media and keeping yourself safe online
• Use IT at work

You will gain new skills and develop your confidence in using computers and navigate the digital world and online services.

• You will learn how to use different digital devices and how to handle information
• Create and edit documents and inputting information on online forms and in software packages
• Communicating using digital devices by sending, and receiving messages online
• Carrying out online transactions and shopping online
• Being safe and responsible online and keeping personal data secure
Your tutor will work with you to set your own individual learning goals that will support you to complete your course and help you progress onto the next steps that are right for you.

This course is delivered in person at a venue in Cambridgeshire. You will need to attend all scheduled sessions and complete additional learning in your own time as directed by your tutor. To achieve the qualification, you will need to pass the assessment at the end of the course.

All equipment and resources will be provided in the lesson. However, access to a digital device at home to practice will be beneficial but not essential.

You will achieve either an Entry Level 3 or Level 1 Digital Skills qualification that will enhance your CV and help you progress to further IT courses and qualifications.

What are the entry requirements?
This is a first step IT qualification and is suitable for anyone with some experience of using digital devices and would like to build their skills and confidence using computers and other devices. A basic level of English is needed to engage with the lessons and complete the set assessments. Prior to starting the course, you will be required to complete a brief initial assessment. This will help us understand your current starting point and allow us to tailor the course to meet your specific needs.
