Teenagers are rewarding, stimulating and fun, but being a parent of one can be stressful and challenging.
The Talking Teens Parent course helps deal with those challenges so you can have a calmer, happier family life. A tried and tested Programme, it helps us think about what we do, why we do it and how it makes us feel and looks at questions that many parents have.
From completing this course, you will learn valuable skills that can be applied in many areas of life including:
- The role of parents for teenagers
- Understanding teenage development
- Communicating with your teenager
- Managing conflict
Your tutor will also work with you to set your own individual learning goals that will support you in achieving this course and help you progress onto the next steps that are right for you.

This course is delivered in person at Akeman Community Centre..
You will need to attend all scheduled sessions and complete additional learning in your own time as directed by your tutor.

You will need a notebook and pen. Any other materials will be provided at the venue
Completing this course will give you the opportunity to earn a Cambridgeshire Skills digital badge. Badges are endorsed by City and Guilds and are e a great way to demonstrate your newly gained skills and knowledge and provide evidence of completed learning.
