Our Horticulture Level 1 course is an accredited program specifically designed to provide you with the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary for success in the Gardening and Horticulture sector. Building upon your existing gardening and horticultural abilities gained from the introduction to horticulture course, this qualification will equip you with essential underpinning knowledge and skills specific to the sector, as well as a range of transferable employability skills.
By undertaking this course, you will not only enhance your gardening expertise, but also lay a solid foundation for further learning and future employment opportunities within the land-based or related sectors.

You will need to attend all scheduled sessions and complete additional learning in your own time as directed by your tutor.

You will achieve City and Guilds Level 1 Award in Practical Horticulture Skills. This is a nationally recognised qualification in Horticulture which will enhance your CV and is recognised by employers. It could also help you progress to Further Education.
