Our Cost-of-Living Cafe course is here to help you deal with the impact the rise in the cost of living may be having on your day-to-day life. We will look at how you can keep yourself mentally and financially healthy while helping you develop the skills to budget well and take control of your bills.

You will become more confident in dealing with your finances in areas such as:
- Making informed career and progression choices to maximise your income.
- Making sustainable choices to reduce energy costs at home and while travelling.
- Managing your budget and planning saving strategies.

- Numeracy skills such as using percentages, fractions, and multiplication.
- Online skills such as using cost comparison websites.
- Techniques to budget effectively and save money.

You will also work with your tutor to set individual goals.

This course is delivered flexibly online with regular online support and feedback meetings with your allocated tutor. You will need to commit to working through course material for the agreed hours each week and completing course work by the agreed timescales. You will also need to join the required tutor support meetings.

We may be able to support you with loaning this equipment if you do not have it

Completing this course will give you the opportunity to earn a Cambridgeshire Skills digital badge. Badges are endorsed by City and Guilds and are a great way to demonstrate your newly gained skills and knowledge and provide evidence of completed learning. You will also be ready to progress on to Functional Skills Maths qualification.
